About the Role
The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving growth and expanding the client base of a digital marketing agency. This position involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of digital marketing trends and has a proven track record of successful business development within the industry.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the digital marketing industry
Conduct market research to identify potential target clients and develop strategies to reach them
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and influencers
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral and presentations
Present agency services to potential clients, highlighting the unique value proposition and benefits
Lead the negotiation and closing of deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties
Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals on a regular basis
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify areas for business expansion and differentiation
Collaborate with the account management team to ensure smooth client onboarding and transition
Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts to the management team
Continuously enhance knowledge of digital marketing trends, strategies, and best practices through self-learning and attending industry conferences or events
Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the digital marketing agency by providing insights and recommendations based on market research and client feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
Extensive experience in the digital marketing industry, preferably in a business development or sales role
In-depth knowledge of various digital marketing channels, such as SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and analytics
Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and meet or exceed sales targets
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify market trends and adapt strategies accordingly
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and generate reports
Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
