About the Role

The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving growth and expanding the client base of a digital marketing agency. This position involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of digital marketing trends and has a proven track record of successful business development within the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the digital marketing industry

  • Conduct market research to identify potential target clients and develop strategies to reach them

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and influencers

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral and presentations

  • Present agency services to potential clients, highlighting the unique value proposition and benefits

  • Lead the negotiation and closing of deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals on a regular basis

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify areas for business expansion and differentiation

  • Collaborate with the account management team to ensure smooth client onboarding and transition

  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts to the management team

  • Continuously enhance knowledge of digital marketing trends, strategies, and best practices through self-learning and attending industry conferences or events

  • Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the digital marketing agency by providing insights and recommendations based on market research and client feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)

  • Extensive experience in the digital marketing industry, preferably in a business development or sales role

  • In-depth knowledge of various digital marketing channels, such as SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and analytics

  • Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and meet or exceed sales targets

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify market trends and adapt strategies accordingly

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and generate reports

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset, with a strong drive to achieve business growth and success
