About the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a crucial role in driving the growth and success of a digital marketing agency. They are responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall revenue generation of the agency. The BDR acts as a bridge between the agency and potential clients, showcasing the agency's capabilities and services to drive client acquisition.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients in the target market through various channels such as online platforms, industry events, referrals, and cold outreach.
Qualification and Discovery: Conduct initial outreach to prospects, qualify leads, and schedule meetings or calls to understand their business needs and challenges. Gather relevant information to determine if the agency's services align with the prospect's requirements.
Presentations and Proposals: Deliver compelling presentations, tailored to the client's needs, showcasing the agency's capabilities, case studies, and success stories. Develop and present proposals that address client objectives and demonstrate the agency's value proposition.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact. Provide ongoing support, address inquiries, and act as a trusted advisor to help clients achieve their marketing goals.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including account managers, marketing strategists, and creative teams, to develop customized solutions that meet client objectives. Ensure smooth handover of new accounts to the account management team.
Sales Pipeline Management: Track and manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities in the CRM system. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, meetings, and progress. Provide regular reports and updates to the sales management team.
Industry and Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging digital marketing strategies. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through training, webinars, and industry events.
Qualifications
Sales and Marketing Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices. Familiarity with various digital marketing channels, such as SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, and email marketing. Understanding of customer journey and sales funnels.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present and articulate the agency's value proposition to potential clients. Active listening skills to understand client needs and concerns, and provide appropriate solutions.
Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with clients. Ability to build trust, understand client requirements, and deliver exceptional customer service. Proven track record in cultivating long-term client partnerships.
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Experience in prospecting, identifying potential clients, and generating new business leads. Proficiency in using CRM tools, prospecting techniques, and market research to identify target companies and decision-makers.
Sales Pipeline Management: Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of leads. Experience in qualifying leads, tracking sales activities, and effectively moving prospects through the sales funnel. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Goal-Oriented: Self-motivated and results-driven mindset. Ability to work towards and exceed sales targets and KPIs. Proactive in seeking new business opportunities and taking initiative in driving revenue growth.
