SNAPCHAT GETS A HOST OF NEW FEATURES FOR ITS USERS

At the recent Snap Partner Summit 2020, Snapchat announced a host of new features for its users. Snap launches new ways to navigate Snapchat, the new Action Bar feature provides top-level navigation when users open the app. It changes contextually depending on user behaviour if he is watching or doing something. This new feature for Snap Map and Snap Stories allows users to connect with the Snapchat community easily. In addition to this, Snapchat adds Places to Snap Map, a personal map that shows what your friends are up to and highlights perspectives from the Snapchat community. It will be easy for this new feature to find the spots that are popular with Snapchat community.



Also, Snapchat rolls out Story Replies feature that makes the communication easier for fans following their favourite Snap Stars. Snapchat filters bullying and hate speech contents to ensure Snap Stars feel the love from their fans. Snapchat also allows Snap Stars to turn their story replies into stickers and add them to their stories to power things like Q&A sessions.



Snapchat also discovers the Happening Now feature which allows Snapchatters to discover what is going on in the world at any time. This feature is good to showcase information into single Snaps from across politics, entertainment, sports and more. For this new feature Snapchat has partnered with The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Reuters, NBC News, ESPN, NowThis, E! News, Daily Mail, BuzzFeed News and more.



Note: Except for Story Replies, all other features are currently available to everyone in the US and they will be available in more markets around the world in the next year. Story Replies are currently available in UAE and all other markets.
